In a growing organization, team alignment is crucial to efficient operations and ultimately the success of your business. While this may seem easy enough to do, getting all the smaller teams within your company to work together can sometimes be a challenging task.

To help both new and established businesses align their teams, Corinne Sklar, CMO at Bluewolf, has developed what she calls the “three pillars” of team alignment: Make it fast, make it work, and make it stand out.

Sklar begins by explaining the first pillar, “make it fast.” She’s a big believer in the need for project management for marketers, and having someone on your team who really understands the process of execution.

Looking Past the Data to Understand Your Customers

In order to truly make your content work, you need to look past data and have a strong understanding of your customers. Data is critical, Sklar says, but it’s not everything.

“Data doesn't tell emotion. Data doesn't show you the pain of the client.”

These days, everyone is talking about the importance of customer experience, but that strategy needs a home—someone has to own it.
