Where These Top 10 Marketing Trends Are Heading in 2019 [Podcast]

The Content Experience Lightning Round is back! In this episode, co-hosts Randy and Anna take a look at the top 10 marketing trends of the year and where they predict they’ll be heading.

With only two minutes to discuss each topic, Randy and Anna rely on their combined expertise to cut right to the heart of each marketing trend and give valuable insight. Topics discussed include personalization, artificial intelligence, account-based marketing, and many more.

In this special episode of the Content Experience Show, co-hosts Randy Frisch and Anna Hrach discuss 10 of the top marketing trends.

In This Episode:

Personalization

Personalization is something we’ve been talking about for a long time, but have yet to get really good at. Many people get overwhelmed when it comes to personalization because they think that means they have to personalize every piece of content, versus pick the right pieces of content to put in front of people.

“The backbone of personalization has to be the technology, understanding user behavior, patterns, and interactions.”

Customer Intelligence

Randy and Anna dig into the importance of taking the time to talk to your customers, leveraging customer data, and mapping the customer journey in order to create and make use of the right content at the right time.

“We forget what it's like to be a consumer. All of this data is amazing, but ask yourself if this is actually relevant to the customers.” — @annabananahrach

Experience-Driven Content

Great content isn’t enough—it's the content experience that people really invest in at the end of the day. We need to be engaging people with content by giving them something to interact with, rather than just sending them information.

“We are past the point of just creating content. We have to start to think about the experiences that we put in front of people at the end of the day.” — @randyfrisch
