Behind The Scenes: South Bay Digs' Hub

We’re kicking off our inaugural Featured Hub series with South Bay Digs — a real estate marketing platform serving the affluent coastal neighbourhoods of Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

What we love about South Bay Digs’ Hub

Aside from the beautiful background image when you first enter the Hub, we love how South Bay Digs really made a home for their interactive Flipbooks and social media networks.

When you enter the Hub, it’s easy to get lost in the featured luxury homes and YouTube video tours across coveted California real estate. Take a tour through their Twitter feed and find beautiful real estate or amazing interior designs like this aquarium bedroom.

Here’s what Warren Dow, the President and CEO of South Bay Digs, had to say about content marketing:

1. Why is content marketing (including social media, blogs, flipbooks, etc) important for your organization?

Content marketing is extremely important to the DIGS brand because today’s consumer is perpetually connected via the host of digital platforms available.  As a media company, we are more interested in building engagement with our brand than growing total audience.  Creating compelling and relevant content for our digital platform is the key driver for us, so we focus on channels that drive engagement.

2. How does Hubs help?

Hubs help the DIGS brand by being exactly what it is – a hub!  Specifically, it’s a centralized communications platform all in one that connects our consumers to our content across our entire digital platform.

3. What is your best tip for aspiring content marketers out there?

One of the main challenges today with content marketing is that there is a surplus of content available and lots of “noise” online.  Everyone is chasing audience and the “next big thing” and it’s getting harder to filter through the morass. As my favorite marketing guru Seth Godin says, “it nice to be found…essential to be sought.”  That about says it all.
