Get ready for Flipbook quality like you’ve never seen before. We’ve officially upgraded Flipbooks to deliver content in SVG format!
You may be wondering why this is such a big deal…
Until now, we have been serving up HTML5 Flipbooks in JPEG format, which can result in grainy images and text depending on factors like your screen size, resolution, and zoom. The simple reason behind this is that JPEG is a raster format and not great for scaling.
However, the latest of all the file types, SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a vector image file format, and is more powerful than other file formats suitable for the web. Unlike raster formats seen in JPEG, GIF, and PNG, an SVG image remains crisp and clear at any resolution or size.
Just check out that resolution quality! Ooooooh!
To start applying this new format to your new Flipbooks, hit the edit button on any Flipbook Folder and change the Reader Version to HTML5 (SVG).
After that, any future Flipbooks you upload will use the SVG format. If you want to convert your old Flipbooks, please contact our support team for help.
